My fascination with mannequins originated a few years ago when I spotted the mannequin in the purple party gown in a window in Haarlem, The Netherlands. Taken by how real the mannequin appeared, I began to see mannequins everywhere I went. The reflections in the windows play an important part in the composition of the photograph. Some of my other work with windows does not contain mannequins but is also composed around reflections.
